ES man now facing six domestic-related charges
An Excelsior Springs man facing several domestic-related charges is now facing double the charges in his Ray County case.
Joshua B. Triplett, 42, was originally facing three felony charges of first-degree domestic assault, serious physical injury and two counts of second- degree domestic assault. Now as of Feb. 26, two counts of third-degree domestic assault and fourth-degree domestic assault have been added.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Feb. 27, but information regarding this hearing and any future hearings has not been released as of press time.
On Aug. 20, 2023, Ray County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) Deputy Royse, Deputy Cox, Deputy Lumpkins and Corporal Crossland responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies observed the victim visibly bleeding from the head while in the residence with two juveniles.
