Serving success from a small town
From a small-town upbringing to a national accomplishment, Sarah Server has accomplished great things in a short amount of time. Since leaving Excelsior Springs, she has cooked for and served the president as well as competed in a culinary competition.
A 2014 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School, Server stepped away from her childhood home at the age of 18 to join the U.S. Navy.
“This was truly one of the best decisions I could have made for myself, and I had no idea at the time,” Server said. From enlistment to culinary success, Server graciously shared her story.
Server started her journey by following in her brother’s footsteps by joining the Navy. The two shared a competitive rivalry and Server decided she would prefer giving back rather than sitting at a desk studying.
