ES boys netters add to win total
Excelsior Springs has its second dual win this season in varsity boys tennis. And its third.
After getting win No. 1 recently by sweeping Richmond, the Tigers got win No. 2 last week. They went 1-2 for the week, falling 7-2 April 22 at Odessa, then cruising 9-0 April 23 at Grandview and falling 5-4 April 24 in Independence to Fort Osage.
ODESSA RESULTS
Juniors Austin Collins and Theo Stuhrmann got one of the two match wins in the loss to Odessa, claiming the No. 1 doubles match 8-2. Collins nabbed the other win, romping to an 8-1 win in No. 1 singles.
In other doubles results, senior Colt Bowman and junior Grayson Grove
fell in the No. 2 match 8-2, and juniors Jack Dearing and Owen Peterson fell 8-3.
In other singles results, Grove lost 8-5, Stuhrmann fell 8-6, Bowman lost 8-3, and Dearing and Peterson each lost 8-6.
