Piano students of Dorothy Boguske Mullikin presented a recital on Friday, May 25, at Barbee Presbyterian Church and awards were presented.
Receiving certificates from Junior Festival for consecutive perfect scores were Hannah Willadsen (two consecutive years) and Morgan Schindler (four consecutive years).
Trophies from Keyboard Merits were presented to Alden Aldrich (10 points), Morgan Schindler (20 points), Ashleigh Bickford (30 points), Rachel Speak – not pictured (50 points), Hannah Willadsen (50 points), Katie Raffety (60 points).
Special certificates were presented from the Regional Junior Composition competition to first place – Morgan Schindler, second place – Ashleigh Bickford, both with superior scores. Both girls won in the State of Missouri competition.
Ribbons for outstanding and/or superior results of keyboard merits went to Makinley Smith, Alden Aldrich, Morgan Schindler, Ashleigh Bickford, Katie Raffety, Hannah Willadsen and Amber Weber, Halley Felty, and these students who are not pictured: Ava and Matt Briegel, Rachel Speak, Austin and Emily Buck and Wendy Chuning.
Seniors honored were Katie Raffety, a graduate of Lawson High School and Wendy Chuning, a graduate of Excelsior Springs High School.
