Council passes appointments, wellness change

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Vintage Plaza Community Improvement District board has a new member. Scott Craven’s appointment received City Council approval Oct. 7. Craven, who succeeds Brian Yarbrough, will serve a two-year term, City Manager Molly McGovern stated in a Sept. 30 memo to city leaders. The approval joined a handful of items the council covered, including passing an ordinance modifying the city’s “wellness agreement” covering community center memberships for hospital and school district personnel. Per the agreement, the city receives monthly payments of $3,000 and $4,667 from the hospital and school district, respectively, to cover memberships.
