Three candidates vie for Excelsior Springs council seats
Three candidates have filed for two available seats on the Excelsior Springs City Council in the upcoming April 7 municipal election.The candidates are incumbent Reggie St. John, Sonya Morgan and Joshua A. Nunez.The candidates were asked by The Standard to answer several questions to give insight into their views on important issues. However, Nunez did not respond. Attempts to contact him using the email address provided by the City of Excelsior Springs and his campaign email went unanswered. St. John, 71, is a lifelong resident of Excelsior Springs. He completed selected studies at William Jewell College and is retired from BlueScope Construction. His career spanned 47 years in the pre-engineered metal building industry, working as an engineering technician and later in material management.
