EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers went 10-for-10 in district boys wrestling competition Feb. 13 at Excelsior Springs High School. The Tigers entered 10 grapplers in the Class 2 District 8 Tournament. All 10 placed among the top four in their respective weight classes to move on to the Sectional 4 Tournament, slated for Feb. 27, also at the high school. The Tigers, who took second place as a team by scoring 152 points, produced four individual champions: Landen Davis, Ayden Dolt, Damon Ashworth and Braxton Rickart. Davis’ title run started with a bye. He then defeated Savannah’s Will Courtney by fall in the semifinals, and next defeated Cameron’s Tanner Riley in the 126-pound championship match.
