Ganzer expects ‘really solid’ team this girls soccer season

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Like other high school sports programs, the Tigers look to make up for lost time this varsity girls soccer season. “We will have a lot of young players that missed out on an entire year of development,” coach Zac Ganzer said. “The last time this group of seniors played, they were underclassmen, and there were a lot of ups and downs throughout the year.” There are five Tigers in that group: Mayce Barber, Amelia Barrolle, JoVana McCray, Makaya McCant and Bethann Hunt. Barber will play the role of leader by example. The seniors are among 24 girls out for soccer. Others include juniors Kailey Sejkora and Makenzy Smith; and sophomores Amanda Beissenherz, Kelsey Coleman, Khilee Costello, Makayla Grant, Samantha McDonald, Sylvia Moore, Lauren Mueller, Rowyn Pekarek, Jesafin Xiong and Kara Lindley. ...
