Patricia Marie Thornton
Patricia Marie Thornton, 75, passed away after a short battle with kidney cancer on March 21, 2021, at her daughter’s house in Azle, Texas.
Patricia was born March 26, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Henry Stewart and Edith Conatzer Stewart.
She will be remembered as Mom, Grandma, Mee-maw and Great Grandma, as someone who loved taking care of her family and anyone else that needed help.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Thornton; and parents.
She is survived by her children: Rhonda Cowden and husband, Larry, of Azle, Kim Livingston of Kansas City, Melissa Hinson of Azle, Miranda Thornton of Whitesboro, Texas, and Amanda Bratton of Azle, Montana Thornton of Azle; brother, Charlies Stewart and wife, Denise, of Longmont, Colorado; sisters, Linda (Susie) LaBored of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Tammy Hayes and husband, Ron, of Sibley; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Fort Worth Zoo. All attendants must contact one of the daughters for a pass to get into the zoo.
Per her request, Patricia’s remains were donated to the University of Texas Southwestern medical research program.
