Julea Jeanne (Judy) Kupfer Wormsley, 81, of Excelsior Springs passed away April 11, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital.

Judy was born Jan. 25, 1940, in Kansas City. She was a mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She retired from the Excelsior Springs School District, where she had worked as a secretary at the high school. She was a beekeeper, loved quilt-making and sewing, and making cards by hand for all she could. She also loved and enjoyed her horses, cats and dogs.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Adolf Kupfer; mother, Berniece Duvall Chapman Kupfer; husband, James David Wormsley; and daughter, Janet Sue Wormsley Eide.

Survivors include her daughter, Jaleen Wormsley and husband, Darryl Wayne Lemen; son, Jason David Wormsley; grandchildren, Chloe Elise Wormsley, Alyson Marie Nowell, Nicole Andrea Nowell, Eric James Eide, Sarah Jeanne Eide Joseph and Stephanie Sue Eide Tramel, Edward Scott Eide; and great-grandchildren, Brian, Levi, Benjamin and Emmett Joseph, Kristy and Sean Eide, Ezry and Ellis Eide, Janette Sawyer and Eli Tramel.

Visitation will be held 10-11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 17, with funeral service following, at Woods Memorial Christian Church, 417 Concourse, Excelsior Springs. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the church.
