Craven, Wilmes among winners as Tigers host Highway 92 Meet
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – On April 15, six high school track and field programs descended upon Tiger Stadium for the Highway 92 Meet.
In the girls competition, the Tigers produced eight top-10 finishes in the field events. Senior Emma Craven led the way by winning the high jump by clearing 4 feet, 9.75 inches.
Junior Haley Butler finished eighth in the javelin with her throw of 79-6.75. Junior Sydney James finished 10th by throwing 78-5.25. James also placed seventh in the discus, throwing 79-2.
Freshman Reagan Block placed ninth in the pole vault, clearing 6-6. Junior Breanna Williams also cleared 6-6, but had more faults, finishing 10th.
Senior Ramsey Gantt placed fifth in the long jump by leaping 15-3. Sophomore Sydney Jarvis took sixth by jumping 15-2.75.
