Margaret “Anne” Mayes, 81, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab.  

Born June 24, 1940, Anne was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret R. Partridge of Kansas City, MO.  

Anne was married to Jimmey W. Mayes on April 20, 1968, in Oklahoma and raised a blended family of five children. She retired as a church administrator at Grace Covenant Church.  

In her younger years Anne was fascinated by cars and known to have raced them. She was passionate about crafts and loved owls of any kind. Her latest crafting talents were directed towards crocheting baby blankets for family and friends. Anne was a huge fan of Neil Diamond and had the pleasure of seeing him in concert. She loved to sing along to his songs while in the car. Anne always said her family was her greatest joy and passion. No matter what life happenings were occurring FAMILY CAME FIRST!  

Anne was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Johnny Partridge of Wichita, KS. and David Partridge of Olathe, KS.  

Survivors include her husband, Jimmey; five children, Terry Mayes of Excelsior Springs, MO., Tim Mayes and wife, Pamela of Spring Hill, KS., Alan Mayes and wife, Analee of Houston, TX., Sallee Gerhardt of Excelsior Springs, MO., and Danese Wildschuetz and husband, Mike of Odessa, MO; one sister, Mary Jo Hoss; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
