Young bowman hits bullseyes in state, national competitions

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Dantin McBee, 12, a sixth McBee’s interest in archery began at age 9, as part of his 4-H studies. His parents, Justin and Danelle McBee, support their son’s interest and spend weekends traveling to competitions in Missouri and beyond. McBee is a member of the Scholastic 3-D Archery organization, the National Field Archery Association, the Archery Shooters Association, Ray County 4-H, the Carroll County Bow Club and the Missouri Bow Hunters. This year, McBee has received honors at several competitions, including second place in the state as a Missouri Bow Hunter. He is the 2021 National Field Archery Association sectional champion for the Midwest in the category of indoor targets. He is the state champion for indoor targets and placed second for 3-D targets in Scholastic 3-D Archery for 2021.
