EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Avory Moore is taking her softball game to the next level. The Excelsior Springs senior has signed a letter of intent to play at Park University, an NAIA program in Parkville. “I chose Park University because I loved the campus and I thought it would be a good fit for me academically, as well as athletically,” said Moore, who will major in history with the intention of working toward a secondary education certificate or prelaw degree. Moore was a four-year starter for the Tigers, playing outfield and third base, and finishing her high school career with a .329 batting average. Her other career stats included six home runs and 48 RBIs. “My parents have been the biggest impact on my softball career,” she said. “My father has been the person who has pushed me to be my best and has believed in me, no matter what.” ...
