EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Sometimes, it takes just one big inning to end a losing streak. The Tigers had just that April 19 against visiting Fort Osage to end a fourgame skid in varsity baseball with a 4-2 win. The Indians picked up a run in the first inning off sophomore starter Brayden Lewis, but a four-run second inning was all the Tigers needed for the victory. Senior Kian Dollins reached base on a two-out walk, reached third on an errant pickoff throw and scored on junior Colson Moore’s single to center field. Moore scored, along with freshman Ryne Marcum, on a triple by junior Lucas Dillman, who later scored on a wild pitch. It was the first of three victories in four games. The second came on April 23, when Truman and Oak Park visited Excelsior Springs for a triangular.
