Although the month is more than halfway over, there are still many activities area residents can enjoy in observance of July as Parks and Recreation Month in Excelsior Springs.

The Parks and Recreation Department is offering the following activities to close the month:

Science experiments – 11 a.m., July 25, Century Park.

Craft with Consciousness class – 11 a.m., July 26, Excelsior Springs Community Center.

Social media (favorite superhero theme) – July 28, check on Facebook.

Storytime in the Park – 10:30 a.m., July 29, Century Park.

Movie in the Park – Dusk, July 29, Carolyn Schutte Pocket Park. “Lego Batman” will be shown.
