Girls golfers ready for Suburban Conference

The Tigers aren’t concerned about facing new competition this varsity girls golf season, according to coach David Stalder. Like Excelsior Springs’ other sports programs, the girls golf team will be affiliated with the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division. The affiliation follows a stint in the Missouri River Valley Conference (MRVC)-West Division. “The MRVC was tough from top to bottom, so we feel like our girls will be prepared with the change to the Suburban (Conference),” said Stalder, who enters his sixth year at the helm. The Tigers have three returners leading them into their new division. One of them, senior Olivia Kelley, is coming off an all-conference season.
