Aspire Senior Living of Excelsior Springs is requesting prom attire donations from the community. Wound and infection control prevention specialist Angela Horton, LPN, is a staffing coordinator for Aspire is working with the facility’s activity department to surprise residents with their very own prom night. “I’ve entertained the idea for a while and after talking to the staff, we decided it was something we could pull together,” she said. Donations needed for the senior prom night include all sizes of men’s button-up dress shirts, ties, suit jackets, along with women’s one-piece prom dresses of any length. The prom will be hosted June 2 and the deadline to receive donations is May 15.
