DEP still seeks proposals for Lithia Landing Project
Downtown Excelsior Springs Partnership Inc. (DEP) continues fundraising for the current Litha Landing Project to be constructed at 243 East Broadway.
The Lithia Landing Project, named after the Lithia water well site, will be a wooden deck built level with the sidewalk already in place. Similar to a boardwalk, a landing will be constructed — set with tables and chairs — for visitors to sit and relax as they pass through downtown Excelsior Springs.
“The deck for the project is to be placed at the far end of Broadway, with the discussion still on-going to implement fundraising,” DEP Executive Director Lyndsey Baxter said.
Baxter said the group had no luck when seeking proposals to establish pricing for the project the first time around.
