was denied recently in his quest to win a second pro football league title. Serving as defensive coordinator, Williams led the D.C. Defenders to the championship game of the XFL, one of two springtime American pro football leagues. D.C. fell to the Arlington Renegades 35-26 in the title game, held May 13 at the Alamodome and televised by ABC. D.C. finished 10-2. The Defenders went 9-1 for the regular season and clinched the North Division title, then they defeated the Seattle Sea Dragons 37-21 April 30 at home in the divisional finals to reach the title game. ...
