Kurtis Gregory throws hat in ring for senate
Republican Kurtis Gregory, state representative for the 51st District, has announced his bid for the Missouri Senate’s 21st District seat, running against Doug Richey.
The district is currently represented by Senator Denny Hoskins, who cannot seek reelection due to term limitations.
The 21st District includes a portion of Clay and Ray, Lafayette, Saline, Howard and Cooper counties.
A Marshall resident, Gregory, attended high school in Alabama and moved to Missouri to attend college and play football.
He attended Missouri University College, receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agriculture studies.
Gregory has served on the board of directors for the Missouri Corn Growers Association. He is an MFA oil representative and a Saline County Farm Bureau member.
