Sandra “Sandy” Davitt, 64, of Wood Heights passed away Aug. 31, 2024.

Sandy was born June 30, 1960, in San Jose, Costa Rica, to Gladys Varga Penaranda and Tarcisio Zamora Rodriguez.

Sandy married Frank Davitt of Elizabeth, N.J., on June 8, 1985. Frank worked for the Ford assembly plant in Edison, N.J., and Sandy worked for Carteret Savings Bank.

When Ford closed the Edison plant, Frank and Sandy relocated to Missouri, where Frank transferred to the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant and they settled in Wood Heights. Sandy worked for UMB Bank in Kansas City and acted as the municipal court clerk for Wood Heights.

Frank and Sandy lived a peaceful life together for 39 years and shared their home with their dogs, Ralph and Gibbs.

Services will be private for the family and in the care of Hidden Valley Funeral Home.
