An ordinance addressing the fiscal year 2025 budget amendment was approved at a recent special city council meeting.“This budget amendment is presented to address the difficulty the city has experienced with personnel recruitment and retention in light of significant changes in compensation in our market,” said Excelsior Springs City Manager Molly Mc- Govern. “A market update was commissioned to recommend changes that would improve our position and it is discussed under a separate council item.
