Volleyballers transition from regular season to district tourney
Excelsior Springs varsity volleyball coach Cindy Price and her Tigers have a quick turnaround from the regular season to the postseason.At press time, the local girls were slated to finish regularseason play Thursday against visiting Raytown South. They’ll open the postseason Oct. 22, when they’ll face Knob Noster in Class 3 District 15 Tournament play at Excelsior Springs. Excelsior Springs was 6-18-1 entering the regularseason finale. That record included a 1-4 week the previous week.The Tigers started that five-match week by falling 3-0 Oct. 7 to visiting St. Pius X of Kansas City.
