Vera Davis

Vera Mae (Anderson) Davis, 94, of Excelsior Springs passed away Dec. 13 after a long and fulfilling life. Vera was born Oct. 26, 1930, in Pleasant Valley, the daughter of Robert Fulton and Beulah (Tipton) Anderson. She graduated in 1948 from Liberty High School. Vera married the love of her life, William (Bill) Davis, in 1963. During their 36 years of marriage, they enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling whenever they got the chance.

Survived by 16 nieces and nephews, and preceded in death by her husband, Bill Davis; parents, Robert and Beulah Anderson; sisters, Betty Lance, Eileen Pettet and Kathy Presko; brothers, Paul Anderson and Jack Anderson; and nieces and nephews, Connie Pettet, Robert Pettet, Dale Pettet and Lisa Boley.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Pisgah Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs.

Vera’s legacy of love, integrity, devotion to God and her adventurous spirit will endure through the many lives she has touched.
