Rayville man arrested in Missouri City burglary

A Rayville man recently entered a not-guilty plea in Clay County court in a Missouri City burglary case.Eric R. Stombaugh, 25, is facing two felonies, including first-degree burglary and armed criminal action. He recently appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen L. Krauser where he entered a plea of not guilty and was advised to apply for a public defender.Stombaugh also appeared for a bond hearing last week, but information was not made available as of press time.According to the complaint filed by Clay County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Robert L. Sanders, the range of punishment for the class B felony of burglary is imprisonment in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections for a term not less than five years and not to exceed 15 years.
