Gipson gets probation for two felony charges
An Excelsior Springs woman has been sentenced to five years of probation after reaching a plea agreement with the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office on two felony charges.Jeneane S. Gipson, 41, recently appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Shane T. Alexander and entered guilty pleas for two felony charges, including possession of a controlled substance and persistent driving while intoxicated. Alexander sentenced Gipson to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections with a suspended execution of sentencing and five years of probation with Missouri Probation and Parole for each count.Additionally, under the agreement, Gipson will complete 45 days of shock incarceration, pay a $50 recoupment fee to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, complete the Victim Impact Panel and Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Programs, maintain ignition interlock, maintain full-time employment and complete 40 hours of community service....
