Girls soccer squad looks to fill voids on offense
Excelsior Springs has some voids to fill on offense this season in varsity girls soccer.“We lost a chunk of our goals and assists to graduation last year, but we also return and bring in a host of talent,” coach Brett McKenzie said.It might take the girls a few weeks to settle in offensively as they seek to find goal-scorers and assist-makers, according to McKenzie. He believes they have the potential to be well-rounded on offense.“Our mix of experienced upperclassmen and lowerclassmen with loads of potential will hopefully lead us to a successful season,” McKenzie said.The experienced players include Gracie Carder, Maya Watkins, Ava Morton, Shelby Stodden and Emmalyn White.
