ES netters begin search to fill spots in boys, girls programs
Coach Richie Marsh has already begun looking at candidates to fill the voids left by graduation in Excelsior Springs’ prep boys and girls tennis programs.The high school girls, who are slated to begin their regular-season schedule Sept. 2 against visiting Ruskin, lost Lily Long, Rebecca McDade, Ziya Miller, Megan Riegel, Shelby Stodden and Malaya Tedesco to graduation, Missouri State High School Activities Association records state. Excelsior Springs also lost a cluster of boys players to graduation, including Austin Collins, who placed seventh in singles this spring at the Class 1 state tournament.
