Public invited to weigh in on Route Z bridge replacement
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is reminding Ray County residents of an upcoming public meeting about a proposed bridge replacement on Missouri Route Z over Keeney Creek, located about one mile south of Orrick.The open-house style meeting will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 26 at the Orrick Community Center, 111 East South Front Street. MoDOT staff will be on hand to answer questions, discuss project details and collect public comments. There will be no formal presentation.The existing bridge is safe for travel but has reached the end of its service life, prompting the proposed replacement.Those who cannot attend in person will be able to view project materials and submit comments online from 4 p.m. on Aug. 26 through 4 p.m. on Sept. 9.
