Council authorizes golf course, pool equipment purchases
A major investment in city facilities ranged from mowing fairways to purifying pool water, with Excelsior Springs leaders authorizing long-term purchases and contracts that will guide local operations for years ahead.Council members approved a resolution authorizing the golf course to replace its aging mowing fleet through two separate lease-purchase agreements. The package includes two John Deere 2700 E-cut Hybrid greens mowers, two John Deere 7700A fairway mowers and one Toro Groundsmaster 3500-D rough mower. According to city documents, the Toro mower carried a principal cost of $51,498.75, while the John Deere equipment totaled $297,216.70.Financing will be handled through Deere Credit, Inc. for the John Deere machines and PNC Bank for the Toro purchase.
