Lawson man sentenced in Pleasant Valley armed stand-off case

A 2024 armed stand-off in Pleasant Valley, which led to the rescue of twin toddlers, has been resolved as a Lawson man was sentenced to eight years.After withdrawing his earlier plea of not guilty, Tyson Scott Campbell, 27, recently pleaded guilty before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge David Chamberlain to two felony charges, including third-degree domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.According to the plea agreement and petition filed with the court, Campbell acknowledged he understood the charges against him and the range of punishment provided by law. He confirmed he had discussed the case fully with his attorney, understood the rights he was waiving by pleading guilty and entered the plea freely and voluntarily.
