For more than two decades, community members across the Northland have gathered each year with one shared goal: building safer, healthier environments where youth can thrive. That effort returns March 3 as the Northland Prevention Conference brings together educators, parents, law enforcement, healthcare professionals and local advocates for a day focused on prevention, collaboration and practical solutions. The conference serves prevention efforts across Clay, Platte and Ray counties.The 2026 Northland Prevention Conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Platte Woods Church, 7310 Northwest Prairie View Road in Platte Woods. The event is open to any community member who works with or cares about youth, including parents, educators, healthcare professionals, law enforcement officers, civic leaders and volunteers.Registration is open through Feb. 24, with attendance priced at $35.
