The power of a small gestureIt is that time again when most weekends start pointing toward the Lake of the Ozarks.That tends to happen this time of year thanks to my dad and stepmom having a condo down there, which means a few days away from the normal routine whenever schedules allow. The drive there is familiar by now and so is the change of pace once the lake comes into view. Things slow down a little and evenings stretch out longer than usual while most plans revolve around finding somewhere to sit for a while, eat something simple and enjoy the fact nobody seems to be in a hurry.Trips like this typically focus on the lake, but this one didn’t.
