Varsity baseballers bolt to 7-1 start
Excelsior Springs was nearly unbeatable in its first homestand this season in varsity baseball – a homestand that saw infielder Jaxton Glaspy swat his first high school grand slam.The Tigers finished the homestand 7-1. They got the first of those seven/ six victories March 20 by routing Raytown 14-1. After a 7-4 loss March 21 to Summit Christian Academy, they downed Odessa 10-7 March 21.Excelsior Springs added four more wins last week, including two in its own tournament. First, the Tigers cruised past North Kansas City 15-4 March 23.
