ATTRACTING ATTENTIONThe Excelsior Springs varsity baseball team is making members of the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association take notice.In its April 6 poll, the association ranked the Tigers fourth in the state for Class 4 programs. Logan-Rogersville was ranked first, Moberly second and Chillicothe third.Excelsior Springs was 8-2 overall when the poll was released. That win-loss record included a seven-game winning streak.The Tigers began a new winning streak the day the poll was released – and a three-game homestand – defeating Oak Grove 7-3. On April 7, they downed Raytown South 10-3 in Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division action. They completed their homestand April 8 by defeating Blue Division opponent Smithville 8-3.On Tuesday, Excelsior Springs extended its winning streak to four games by cruising past William Chrisman 8-1 at the Oak Park Activities Complex to open the Northland Tournament....
