Museum receives state grant for oral history project
The Missouri Humanities Council (MHC) has awarded a $5,000 grant to the Excelsior Springs Museum and Archives in support of its “Vietnam Veteran Oral History Project.”MHC is the only statewide agency in Missouri devoted exclusively to humanities education for citizens of all ages and has served as a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities since 1971.The project is being conducted in conjunction with the Museum’s exhibit, “Not Forgotten: Local Stories of the Vietnam War Era,” which is open now through the end of November 2027 at the museum, 101 East Broadway Avenue, in historic downtown Excelsior Springs.
