Scoma is back on the ball diamond
MICAH DILLMAN Staff Reporter and SHAWN RONEY Sports EditorThe Excelsior Springs varsity baseball team has Hunter Scoma back in the lineup as it prepares to make another deep postseason run.Scoma, who graduates this month, has been sidelined for much of the season because of an injury. He has played in a handful of recent outings, including the local boys’ 15-3 drubbing of Raytown South Monday at Excelsior Springs.“It feels pretty good to be back, especially with how it’s been the last couple months – trying to get back,” he said.In spreading the Cardinals in five innings, Excelsior Springs extended its latest winning streak to five games.
