Carol Lautenschlager
Carol Jean (Williams) Lautenschlager was born Dec. 21, 1947, in Kansas City and passed away May 23, 2026. She was the daughter of Thomas and Leola Williams of Gladstone. Carol is survived by her husband of 27 years, David Lautenschlager; brother, Gary (Barbara) Williams; sister, Nancy (Steve) Campbell; son, Christopher (Alisa) Kalinka; daughter, Cynthia (Eric) Schneider; and two grandchildren, Thomas Schneider and Collin Schneider.
In 1966, Carol was part of the first graduating class of Oak Park High School.
She worked as a professional secretary over the years and completed her paralegal certificate program in May 1994 at William Jewell College. She retired in December 2013 from Gilmore & Bell P.C.
She enjoyed school, church choir and learning new things throughout life, along with sewing projects, her farm, gardening and canning with her family for winter storage.
Services to honor Carol were scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 N.W. 108th St., Kansas City, with a visitation beginning at 9 a.m. and a service following at 10.
Carol was to be laid to rest next to her parents in Hopkins Cemetery following the services.
