Council approves kratom regulations, 7-OH ban
Excelsior Springs will soon prohibit the sale of certain concentrated kratom-derived products while adding new restrictions on kratom sales within the city.The ordinance, approved unanimously during a recent Excelsior Springs City Council meeting, restricts kratom sales to individuals 21 and older while prohibiting the sale of certain concentrated kratom-derived products commonly referred to as 7-OH. Businesses selling kratom products will also be required to verify purchaser age through identification and comply with new display and marketing restrictions aimed at limiting youth access and advertising.
