Parson, wife positive for COVID-19
JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Mike Parson, often seen in public without wearing a mask, and who has refused to issue a statewide mask mandate, has tested positive for COVID-19.
When asked during a press conference at the State Fair about the lack of COVID-19 prevention measures being taken by the crowd with him under a pavilion, Parson took a position in support of personal rather than social responsibility regarding care masks.
“When it comes to the personal hygiene, I think everybody in here knows how important that is and then to wear a mask. We’ve always suggested, ‘Wear a mask. If you feel comfortable, wear a mask,’” Parson said. “People ...
