A transient Excelsior Springs man has been arrested on a warrant for four felony charges.

Bryan M. Peak, 21, is facing the felony charges of second-degree burglary, resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony and two counts of third-degree special victim assault.

According to the complaint filed by Clay County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney John M. Creager, the range of punishment for a class D felony, which is the classes of both second-degree burglary and third-degree assault, is imprisonment in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections (MDC) for a term not to exceed seven years; or imprisonment for a special term not to exceed one year in the county jail or other authorized penal institution; or by a fine not to exceed $10,000; or by both imprisonment and fine.
