A 29-year-old Excelsior Springs woman facing a felony charge of unlawful possession of a firearm has entered a plea of not guilty. Destiny J. Gantos, 29, is facing one felony charge of unlawful possesson of a firearm. Destiny J. Gantos was apprehended by law enforcement officers after a warrant for her arrest was issued by Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen L. Krauser. Within 48 hours, she appeared in court for an arraignment hearing via a video conference, where the complaint information was presented to her, outlining the allegations. Gantos was fully apprised of her rights, including the right to remain silent and the right to legal representation and was cautioned about the potential use of any statement she made in court.
