A felony charge has been filed against an Excelsior Springs man.Last week, a warrant was issued and served to Landon C. Hurt, 21, for the felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon. Shortly after the warrant was served, Hurt appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Louis Angles. He entered a plea of not-guilty and was advised to immediately apply for a public defender.When appearing this week for a bond reduction hearing, he requested a continuance, which was approved by Angles.
