ES man arrested for one felony
An Excelsior Springs man has been arrested for a crime which allegedly occurred in 2022.Leroy E. Faulkner, 35, has been charged with second-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.He recently appeared in Ray County Court before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins, where he entered a plea of not guilty.Additionally, Faulkner requested a bond reduction, but Baskins denied his request.Faulkner is currently in the custody of Ray County Jail with a bond of $5,000.He will appear for a preliminary hearing at 2 p.m. on Oct. 1.On May 11, 2022, Ray County Deputy Nicole Sohn was dispatched to a residence in Lawson for a report of vehicle and property theft.According to the probably cause statement written by Ray County Detective Celeste Kaiser, the victim stated that when she got home from the hospital, she laid down and woke up before 5 p.m.“When she woke up, she look...
