Fitzpatrick faces Wistrand
Republican voters will choose between two candidates seeking their party’s nomination for Missouri State Auditor in the Aug. 4 primary election.
Incumbent Scott Fitzpatrick and Gerald Wistrand Jr. are seeking the Republican nomination. The winner will advance to the Nov. 3 general election. Gregory Upchurch and Quentin Wilson are seeking the Democratic nomination, while Dustin Coffell is a Libertarian candidate.
Fitzpatrick, 38, currently serves as Missouri State Auditor and is the owner and founder of MariCorp. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri and has served as state auditor since 2023.
“I am seeking reelection as Missouri State Auditor because the job duties of auditor are exactly why I ran for public office in the first place,” explained Fitzpatrick. “As auditor, my goal has been simple: protect taxpayers, hold government accountable for how it uses your money and point out ways government can work better for the people it serves. …
