Bea Adams
Mary Beatrice “Bea” Adams, 92, Lawson, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 12, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Mo. Mrs. Adams was born Oct. 7, 1916, in Milan, the daughter of James Franklin and Carrie Muriel (Sears) Farley. She was married to Harlan Adams on Aug. 14, 1940; he preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1968. She worked as a custodian and cook for public schools in various communities. She and her husband lived in Kirksville for 16 years and then in Alexandria and Kahoka for several years before moving to Lawson in 1981. She was a member of the Lawson United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Hughes, on May 11, 2005. Survivors include one daughter, Kitty Stewart, Excelsior Springs; two brothers, Edward Farley, Independence, and James Farley, Springfield, Mass.; three sisters, Maxine Jones, Camdenton, Vianna Steen, Independence, and Judy Frock, Independence; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Polley Funeral Home in Lawson. Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville. Visitation will be held from 6 to8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the funeral home.
Faunice Adams
Faunice McClelland Adams, 88, North Kansas City, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Adams was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Gallatin, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Boyer) McClelland. She served alongside her husband as a military wife for 10 years and as a minister's wife for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Union Executive Board for the Missouri State Southern Baptist Convention. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Emery D. Adams; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Adams; one son, Timothy Adams; three gret-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; and one stepgranddaughter. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Adams Miller, Claycomo, and Carolyn Adams Priest, Warsaw; one son, Charles David Adams, Richmond; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville, with the Rev. Tiger Pennington, pastor of First Baptist Church in North Kansas City, officiating. Mary J. Allee, 62, Kansas City, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009. Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond; burial was in Richmond Memory Gardens.
Shirley Anderson
Shirley Mae Anderson, 71, Richmond, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 7, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at St. John’s CME Church in Richmond; burial in Richmond Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
Brent Ballantine
Brent Ryan Ballantine, 36, New Blaine, Ark. (formerly of Russellville, Ark.), died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. Ballantine was born May 31, 1973, in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Arvin and Martha Brown Ballantine. He was in the class of 1991 at Excelsior Springs High School. He was married to Amy M. Tucker on Aug. 15, 1998. He worked for several years as a salesman at Cogswell Motors in Russellville. He and his family attended First Baptist Church in Delaware, Ark. He was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Ballantine and his maternal grandfather, Lyman R. Brown and paternal grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Ballantine. Survivors include his wife, Amy Ballantine, New Blaine; two sons, Tucker Ryan Ballantine and Chance Tyler Ballantine, of the home; his parents; Rich and Martha Ballantine, New Blaine; two sisters, Karla McCool, Danville, Ark., and Ronda Jackson, Kearney; and maternal grandmother, Rilla Brown, Dardanelle, Ark. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 21, at Humphrey Chapel in Arkansas. Burial in Pisgah Cemetery at Pottsville, Ark.
*Kenneth Beers
Kenneth Jack Beers, 75, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at his home. Mr. Beers was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Dessa Adelma (Bridgeford) Beers. On Jan. 30, 1965, in Wichita, Kan., he was married to Donna Margaret Walker, who survives. Also surviving are seven children, Jacqueline Gray and husband, Roy, Excelsior Springs, Donna Johnston and husband, Anthony, Excelsior Springs, Sherry Carmack and husband, Roy, Kentucky, Victor Beers and wife, Cindy, Clearwater, Kan., Steffanie Weston, Liberty, Barbara Hughes, Liberty, and Jimmie Kelley, Topeka, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dessa Herndon, and his stepfather, Earnest P. Herndon. Mr. Beers was reared in Wichita, Kan., where he received his education. He also received an associate degree from the University of Iowa. Following his education he served in the United States Air Force, he was employed with Lear Jet and was a personal mechanic for Mr. Lear in Reno, Nev. He later worked for Boeing and then for the United States Government as a Quality Assurance Inspector for the FAA until he retired in 1995. He was a member of Flack Memorial Christian Union Church, American Legion Post #236, VFW Post #741 and the Elks Lodge, all of Excelsior Springs, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Wichita, Kan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at Flack Memorial Christian Union Church in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will be Saturday evening, Sept. 26, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Crossroads Hospice or American Legion Post #236 Honor Guard of Excelsior Springs.
Donald Keith Blyth
Donald Keith “Barney” Blyth, 66, Orrick, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo. Mr. Keith was born Nov. 27,1942, in Ray County, to Donald Kent and Opal (Sharp) Blyth. He lived most of his life in the Orrick area. He was married to Linda Curry on Dec. 3, 1971. He worked as a lineman and serviceman for the Missouri Public Service Company (now Kansas City Power & Light) for 32 years before he retired in 1997. He was a member of the Orrick Baptist Church, served on the Orrick Fire Protection District Board of Trustees and formerly served as mayor of Henrietta and Orrick. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Kent Blyth, on May 20, 2007; a brother, Dannie Blyth, on Jan. 25, 1967; and a stepdaughter, Robin Brown-Chase, in 1999. Survivors include his wife, Linda Blyth, of the home; his mother, Opal Blyth, Orrick; a daughter, Donna Blyth, and grandson, both of Excelsior Springs; two brothers, Jackie Blyth and Bub Blyth, both of Orrick; and two sisters, Alice O’Dell, Largo, Fla., and Martha Jean Barnes-Martin, Independence. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at South Point Cemetery near Orrick. Visitation with a coffee bar will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick.
Sallye Brown
Sallye L. Brown, 70, Liberty, Mo., died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009. Private memorial services were held, with arrangements through Marts Memorial Services in Kansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Mary Clark
Mary Belle Clark, 48, Richmond, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at her home. Ms. Clark was born Dec. 7, 1960, in Richmond, the daughter of Melvin Theodore and Melba Luella (Bransteitter) Leach. She was married to Dennis Lee “Yogi” Clark on Nov. 9, 1985; he preceded her in death on May 14, 2008. She was a lifelong resident of Richmond. Prior to becoming disabled, she had worked as a CNA in various nursing homes. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Melvin Leach Jr. and Billy Ray Meyer. Survivors include three children, Lesa Dunwoodie and Dennis Clark II, both of Richmond, and Cassie Clark, Blue Springs; four sisters, Sheila Littrell and Babbie Young, both of Richmond, Shalla Green, Lexington, and Sharon Kunkel, Cameron; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Polley Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Braymer. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
Thelma Clubb
Thelma F. Clubb, 88, Holt, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009. Ms. Clubb was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Hedrick, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Mamie Dell (McCall) Meier. She was a homemaker. She was married to Lester Clubb on June 25, 1939; he died Jan. 19, 1976. She was also preceded in death by two infant children. Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Dykes, Lawson; one sister, Letha Myers, Freemont, Iowa; one brother, Max Meier, Papillon, Neb.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Bailey & Cox Funeral Home, Plattsburg; burial in Oakland Cemetery, Holt. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at the funeral home. Eleanor Colley
Eleanor Patricia Colley, 77, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009. Memorial visitation was held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, followed by a service at 6:30 p.m., both at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty. Arrangements are through Park Lawn Northland Chapel in Liberty.
Norwood Creason
Norwood Creason, 91, Braymer, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at his home. Mr. Creason was born May 6, 1918, in Camden, the son of Augustus Bryan and Daisy Violet (Brady) Creason. He was married to Ella Anna Smithey in 1940; she died in 1946. He was married to Ojuita Marie Stephenson on May 2, 1947; they were married for 59 years before she died May 31, 2006. He was married to Nevel Jackie Rains on July 8, 2007; she survives, of the home. He was a farmer, and also served two terms on the Caldwell County Democratic Committee from 1873 to 1980. He also served as County Commissioner. He was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 1977, and served for 18 years until 1994. He was chairman of the House Agriculture Committee for 14 years, from 1981 to 1984. He was a member of the Cowgill United Methodist Church and many civic, military, and other organizations. In addition to his first and second wives and his parents, he was preceded in death by one stepson, Stephen Alan Saunders; two brothers, Kenneth and Wayne; and a sister, Vina Lue. In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Terry Creason, Madison, Mo., Kenneth Creason, Yamhill, Ore., and Randall Creason, Braymer; two daughters, Sue Creason, St. Joseph, and Mary Lue Tuck, Braymer; one sister, Helen Pattee, Overland Park, Kan.; one stepson, Rex Rains, Maryland Heights; four stepdaughters, Vicki Mefti, Stover, Connie Swartz, Sturgeon, Janene Stover, Boonville, and Teresa Vollarth, Franklin; 13 grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 25 stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Braymer United Methodist Church. There will be a family visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer. Friends may also call from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Jerry Danner
Jerry Ray Danner, 68, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Mo. Mr. Danner was born April 23, 1941, in Richmond, the son of Melvin and Frances Danner. He was married to Linda Moore on Sept. 23, 1967; they were married for 21 years. He served in the Air Force for four years, and earned a bachelor's degree in social work in 1995. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two daughters, Luana Dye, Orrick, and Colleen Danner, Richmond; and two grandchildren, Morgan Dye and Jacob Alfaisal. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Orrick First Baptist church. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, also at the church. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are through Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Anita Downing
Anita Glea Downing, 87, Liberty, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Liberty Hospital after a short illness. Ms. Downing was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Great Falls, Mont., the daughter of Glenn Hall and Julia Bullock. They lived on Sanibel Island, Fla., and in Kansas City, Mo., before moving to Liberty in 1934. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1939. In addition to her parents, she was preceded I death by a brother, Glen A. “Bud” Hall; and her husbands, William Nelson Thomas (1945) and Walter William Downing (1964). Survivors include a daughter, Linda Downing Jennings and husband, Greg, Liberty; her sister, Marianna Mustion; and other relatives. Visitation was set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Liberty United Methodist Church, with memorial to follow at 11 a.m. Burial in Fairview Cemetery in Liberty. Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Roy Ford
Roy Ford, 80, Kearney, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009. Survivors include his wife, Betty; sons, Roy Ford Jr., Roy Ford III and Doug Ford; daughters, Janice Ford-Claypool and Beverly Witthar; sisters, Opal Beardsley and Esther Ford; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, followed by a service at 2 p.m. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kearney.
Sammie Greeson
Sammie Greeson, 78, Excelsior Springs, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at his home. Mr. Greeson was born March 31, 1931 in Waxahachie, Texas, the son of Jack and Millie (Shelton) Greeson. He lived in Lawson, Mo., for more than 30 years before moving to Excelsior Springs six years ago. He married Ruby Marble on Aug. 20, 1977. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 27 and one-half years. He was a member of Old Union Christian Union Church in Lawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; one sister; a daughter, Sammie Kaye Melton; and a stepson, Scott Marble. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Ruby, of the home; one son, Larry Greeson, Texas; one daughter, Virginia Riney, Texas; four stepdaughters, Shirley Schwab, Lawson, Jeanne Minton and Teresa McNeely, both of Excelsior Springs, and Deanna Berry, Kearney; a stepson, Kevin Marble, Lawson; two brothers, Edward Lee Greeson and Jackie Greeson, both of Texas; 27 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Polley Funeral Home in Lawson. Burial in Lawson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home.

Floyd F. Hain, 72, Liberty, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, followed by funeral services at 7, both at Park Lawn Northland Chapel in Liberty.
Ruth “Chick” Hamilton
Ruth Anne “Chick” Hamilton, 67, Westtown, N.Y., died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y. Ms. Hamilton was born Jan. 14, 1942, in Fardale, N.J., the daughter of the late William and Louise Parent Bogert. She was married to Earle Hamilton, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Scott DeGroat, Westtown, N.Y.; her sister, Betsy Traynor, Navarre, Fla.; her brother, Theo Bogert, Orlando, Fla.; and two grandchildren. Private services and interment are through Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home in Port Jervis, N.Y. Elizabeth Haynes
Elizabeth C. (Burry) Haynes, 95, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Shirkey Nursing Home in Richmond, Mo. Ms. Haynes was born April 2, 1914, in Breckenridge, the daughter of John P. and Eva (Hilt) Bury. When she was 4 years old, her mother Eva died and she was raised by her uncle and aunt, Jacob and Mary Burry. She was married to Orval L. Haynes on July 24, 1948. He died in 1989. She worked for the Cleo Cola Bottling Co. in Chillicothe, and later was employed by Employer’s Reinsurance Corp. for 36 years. Elizabeth and Orval both retired in 1974. She was of the Christian faith. In addition to her mother and her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, John P. Burry; and her uncle and aunt, Jacob and Mary Burry. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Polley Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital or the Legacy Society of Kansas City.
Bill Hedges
William Fauntell “Bill” Hedges, 63, Lawson, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo. Mr. Hedges was born Nov. 4, 1945, in Lathrop, the son of William Ray and Fauntell (Pollard) Hedges. He was married to Beverly Jean Burns on Sept. 23, 1969; she survives. He was employed with Armco Steel in Kansas City for 32 years. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents. In addition to his wife, survivors include four children, Marsha Vaughn and Robert Hedges, both of Lawson, Jennifer Clayton, Richmond, and William V. Hedges, Ferrelview; two sisters, Phyllis Ruckman, Kansas City, and Sandy Moore, Capon Bridge, W.V.; one brother, Walter “Kevin” Hedges, Independence; and seven grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at St. Ann Catholic Church of Excelsior Springs. Burial will be in St. Munchin Cemetery in Cameron. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements are through Polley Funeral Home in Lawson. Jean Hedges
Jean L. Hedges, 97, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009.

Mary Long Houseworth
Mary Ethel Long Houseworth, 94, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009. Ms. Houseworth was born Oct. 3, 1914, near Standish in Carroll County, Mo., the daughter of Wilbur and Ethel Long. She was married to Anders T. Houseworth on Jan. 12, 1938. She cooked in Carrollton public schools for more than 18 years, and volunteered at that comunity’s Senior Center for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Carrollton. She was prceded in death by her husband, Anders Houseworth; grandsons, Steven Brian Houseworth and Timothy Davis; and six siblings, Glendon Long, Russell Long, Mildred Long Lightfoot, Harold Long, Hazel Long Kariker Cox and Ralph Long. Survivors include eight children, Mariam Gofoth, Stanberry, James “Jim” Houseworth, Chillicothe, Charles “Charlie” Houseworth, Lexington, Elizabeth Ann “Annie” Walden, Excelsior Springs, Mary Evelyn “Mimi” Davis, Carrollton, Anders “Jr.” Houseworth, Excelsior Springs, Thomas “Tom” Houseworth, St. Louis, and Rebecca Sue “Susie” Agnitsch, Overland Park, Kan.; 33 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Friends and family were invited to call from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton. Services were set for 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the funeral home. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Carrollton. Friends were invited to join the family for lunch after the service at the Rupe Center in Carrollton. Frances Louise Howard, 85, Brookfield, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at her daughter's home in Kansas City, Mo. Frances Louise Howard, daughter of James Walter and Pearl Caroline (Kempf) Leonard, was born in Palmyra, Mo., on March 17, 1924. On Dec. 24, 1941, she married Carl Eugene Howard in rural Brookfield. Carl preceded her in death on Jun 15, 1998. Frances was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. She retired from the Brown Show Company, where she worked as a lacer. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, gardening, crocheting and crossword puzzles. She is survived by one son, Larry Howard and wife, Linda, of Linneus, Mo.; one daughter, Janine Smith and husband, Raymond, of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, Erika Eckersley and husband, Jason, and Tyler and Addison, of Kansas City, Mo., Kendra Smith, Chloe and Brody of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Jordan Smith and Bryce, of Kansa City, Mo., Will Sherman and wife, Tammy, Bridget, Willie, Emily and April, of New Boston, Mo., Andrea Butler and husband, Richie, and Christina Oertwig, of Oak Grove, Mo., Lorie Luthy and husband, Jody, Josef and Lanie, of Ozark, Mo., and Maggie Jadwin and husband, Casey, Charlee and Nathaniel, of Houston, Mo.; one brother, James Walter Leonard, of Rock Falls, Ill.; one sister, Edith Sportsman, of Linneus, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Glennon Humm, 96, Excelsior Springs/Hermann, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. Glennon was born Dec. 6, 1912. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Humm , Sugar Creek; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Ken Devlin, Excelsior Springs; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Erma Faye Hutson (Wright), 77, passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2009. Erma Faye was born June 6, 1932, in Elmira, Mo., the daughter of Morris and Erma Hutson. She was married to Roy Melvin Wright on Oct. 1, 1951. They enjoyed a long and happy marriage and had seven children. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Erma Hutson; her sister, Rosanna Hutson Cole; her husband, Roy Wright; a son, John Wright; and a granddaughter, Skylar Wright. Survivors include her children, Roy Milton Wright and his wife, Betty, Oklahoma, Benny Lee Wright, Missouri, Lyncoya Ann O’Connell and her husband, Danny, Florida, Linda Sue McNeiland and her husband, Jeff, Oklahoma, Michael Wright and his wife, Tracey, Nevada, and David Daniel Wright and his wife, Tammy, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Chandler, Okla.

Georgia “Marguerite” Jeffries, 95, Lee’s Summit, Mo. (formerly of Excelsior Springs, Mo.), passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Lee’s Summit, Mo. Marguerite was born on Jan. 17, 1914, in Converse, Mo., the daughter of William Bassett and Eliza (Greenlee) Watson. She was a nurse and worked for the Ball and McCleary clinics in Excelsior Springs, Mo. She had also worked for Whitaker Cable in Excelsior Springs. She was married to Winston Andrew Jeffries, who preceded her in death in 1971. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Unger and husband, Charles, of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; one granddaughter, Ann Elizabeth Hoffman and husband, Jonathan, one great-grandson, Davis Charles Hoffman, and one great-granddaughter, Ellery Ann Hoffman, all of Kansas City, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Myers and Mary Frances Green; two brothers, Delbert and Richard Watson; and one grandson, Blair Andrew Unger. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at the First United Methodist Church, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Agnes B. Johnston, 89, Excelsior Springs, Mo. (formerly of Knoxville, Iowa), died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at the Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center. Ms. Johnston was born June 9, 1920, in Caldwell County. She formerly worked as a warehouse supervisor for Anderson Publications in Des Moines, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Johnston; brothers and sisters; and a daughter, Daisy Edwards. Survivors include one son, Clifford Vanderpool, Omaha, Neb.; a granddaughter, Joy Cook, Excelsior Springs; and a great-granddaughter, Brandi Cook, Excelsior Springs. Roger M. Jones, 81, Kearney, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Mo.Mr. Jones was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Mandeville, the son of Virgil andNettie Stouffer Jones. He worked at Armco Steel from 1951 to 1981, then worked for the city of Kearney for several years after his retirement from Armco. He was a charter member of the Community Covenant Church in Kearney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lowell Jones, Donald Jones and Bill Jones; and three sisters, Vivian Johnson, Faye Chambers and Phyllis Tutt. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Peggy Lowrey Jones, Kearney; one son, Craig Jones, Excelsior Springs; one daughter, Debbie Sharp, Excelsior Springs; two brothers, Chet Jones and Terry Jones; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. John Knutter
John William Knutter, 79, Orrick, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at his home. Mr. Knutter was born July 17, 1930, the son of John Theodore and Gladys Marie (Lee) Knutter. He was married to Geraldine Thompson on Jan. 30, 1953; she preceded him in death Sept. 9, 1999. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Rock Falls Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Knutter and Mary Hughes; and two great-grandchildren, Amanda Silkwood and Austin Knutter. Survivors include three children, William “Bill” Knutter, Orrick, Connie Elliot, Kansas City, and Sherry Hurshman, Orrick; four brothers, Leroy Knutter, Warsaw, Amos Knutter, Orrick, and Tom Knutter and David Knutter, both of Kansas City; two sisters, Dorothy Ferris, Kansas City, and Loretta Holt, Orrick; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren with another on the way. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will follow the service until 8:30 p.m. Cremation. Clarence Manheim
Clarence Robert Manheim (CW3, Ret. USAR) 72, Lawson, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at his home. Mr. Manheim was born Nov. 7, 1936, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Louis G. and Mildred Lucille (Martin) Manheim. He was married to Sharon Rue Swafford on June 20, 1959. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Manheim. Surviving include his wife, Sherry, of the home; one daughter, Valerie Foster, Lawson; three sons, Shawn Manheim, Gladstone, Blane Manheim, Excelsior Springs, and Galen Manheim, St. Augustine, Fla.; two brothers, James Manheim, Pennsylvania, and Edwin Manheim, Florida; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Manheim was employed by Hallmark Cards at Crown Center. He also served in the United States Army for more than 20 years with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam. He obtained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3 before retiring. A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Polley Cemetery in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Polley Funeral Home, where the bodywill lie in state until 8 p.m. Friday.

Doris A. McCaughey, 98, Liberty, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at her home. Mrs. McCaughey was born March 10, 1911, in Winterset, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Lillian Burns. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack McCaughey; and her sister, Freda McLaughlin. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Joseph Brooks McMillan, 88, Henrietta, Mo., passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at his home. Joseph was born Oct. 19, 1920, in Harrisonville, Mo., the son of Brooks and Annie Ethel (Davis) McMillan. On Nov. 2, 1946, he married Mary Lee Stowe in Cass County, Mo. He served in World War II in the United States Army. He was a lifetime member of the Lexington VFW Post. He was a farmer and worked for Union Wire Rope (AK Steel) of Kansas City for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed meeting people and was #65 at a lot of auctions. Joe was a member of the Richmond First Church of God where he served as a deacon and trustee for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary; two sons, John and Keeven McMillan; three sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Doris Baker and Mary Lee Easter; one brother, Jack McMillan; and his parents. Joseph is survived by three daughters, Sonia Frock, Gardner, Kan., Cathy Logan, Platte City, Mo., and Darlene Sanders, Smithland, Ky.; three sons, Robert McMillan, Monett, Mo., Guy McMillan, Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Larry McMillan, Polo, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dan R. Murphy, 66, Kearney, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009. Mr. Murphy was born Aug. 29, 1943, in Topeka, Kan., the son of Zane and Dorothy Jane (Smith) Murphy. He was married to Kimberly (Maddux/Brackman) Murphy on Dec. 15, 1991. He worked as a mechanical engineer for a number of companies over a span of 40 years. He was also active in the Boy Scouts of America. He had been baptized at Highland Park Methodist Church in Topeka, Kan., in 1955, then was confirmed in his Christian faith in 2001 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kearney. He was preceded in death by his father, Zane Murphy; and an infant brother, Edward Douglas Murphy. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly, of the home; mother, D.J. Murphy, Overland Park, Kan.; stepsons, the Rev. Matthew Brackman, Texas City, Texas, and Seth Brackman, Topeka, Kan.; stepdaughters, Kathryn Schnare, Kansas City, and Dr. Rebekah Ford, Clovis, N.M.; daughter, Cassidy Ditchey, Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister, Lynda Metsker, Overland Park, Kan.; brother, Rorry Murphy, Lee’s Summit; and five grandchildren. Marion “Imogene” Snow Cox Neal was born in Osawatomie, Kan., on Feb. 17, 1929, to Warren Mitchell Snow and Garnett Hillenbrandt Snow. Imogene passed on Sept. 14, 2009, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo., from cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Cox; daughter, Margo Eckersley; two sisters; and six brothers. Survivors are her dearest friend and husband, Robert “Bob” Neal; daughter, Mary Lou McDonagh and husband, Dr. Edward McDonagh; sons, Tommy Eugene Cox and wife, Penny, and son, Steven L. Cox; stepchildren, Robin and Dexter Gatlin, Robecca and Craig King, Rhonda Drew and Robert and Sheila Neal; two sisters, Frankie Irene Roberts and Dorothy Strutton; and two brothers, Lloyd Snow and Larry Hawkins. Imogene worked in several local grocery stores. She bought a fast food restaurant after her husband’s death, then passed and received her Missouri state real estate broker’s license and opened “The Cardinal Real Estate Co.” After a second marriage, she sold the restaurant, closed the real estate company and co-owned and operated Midwest Promotions until his death and her retirement in 1990. Mabel Virginia Skiles Nelson, 89, Leslie, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at her home. Ms. Nelson was born Nov. 19, 1919, in Richmond, Mo.,the daughter of Charles “Ed” and Myrtle Sizemore Skiles. She grew up in the Richmond area and was married to Boyd H. Nelson on June 20, 1942. They farmed in the northern Kansas City area, then retired to Lake Perry. They later moved to Leslie to be near their son. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Nelson; and a sister, Mary Frances Closner. Survivors include one son, Boyd Edwin Nelson, Dadeville, Mo.; sisters, Eva Marshall, Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Wilma Curtis, Greenwood, Mo.; and one grandson. Burial was in the Virgil Cemetery at Virgil, Kan.

Kenneth Ray O'Dell, 79, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at his daughter's home in Holt, Mo. Kenneth was born on Dec. 23, 1929, in Ray County, Mo., the son of Marshall and Janie (Swafford) O'Dell. On July 23, 1949, he married his wife of 60 years, Christina (Sloan) O'Dell, who survives of the home. He was a member of the Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church in Excelsior Springs, Mo., the Masonic Lodge, and the Elks Lodge. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Mike and Bradley O'Dell; and one infant sister, Norma Frances. Besides his wife, Christina, he is survived by one daughter, Marsha Sherwood and husband, Darrell, of Holt, Mo.; two grandsons, David Sherwood and Chris O'Dell; one granddaughter, Diane Swigert and husband, Cyrus; and four great-grandchildren. William F. “Bill” Ormsby, 57, Kansas City, Kan., died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009. Mr. Ormsby was born in Emporia, Kan., and had lived in the Kansas City area most of his life. He was a heavy equipment operator for Philiips Paving Co. for 12 years. Hildred Jane Pendelton, 94, formerly of Hamilton, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009. Ms. Pendelton was born Nov. 7, 1914, in Marble, Mo., the daughter of Asa L. and Letha M. Stubblefield. She graduated from the University of Kansas and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Major Molly. Ralph Dennis Phillips, 56, Raytown, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at his home. Mr. Phillips was born July 30, 1953, in Kansas City. He had a bachelor’s degree in industrial design. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew Phillips; and his father, Ralph J. Phillips. Ricky Lester Poling II, 34, Hardin, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Poling was born Oct. 31, 1974, in Kansas City, the son of Rick Lester Poling Sr. and M. Marie (Fernandes) Poling. He was raised in Excelsior Springs and Warsaw and was a 1993 graduate of Truman High School in Independence. He then served in active duty in the United States Marine Corps for 2 ½ years. He was a disabled veteran and had worked as a carpenter. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hardin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his parents, Rick Sr. and Kathy Poling, Kearney, and Marie and Ron Overman, Lathrop; three children, Evan Poling and Taylor Gardner, both of the home, and Mason Poling, Pleasant Hill; his companion, Mandy Waters and her children, Jennifer Waters, Jessica Waters, Maddy Waters, McKinley Waters and J.J. Waters, all of the home; two brothers, Mark Hoppe, Grain Valley, and Bobby Poling, Excelsior Springs; one sister, Kaylee Peery, Kearney; and his grandparents, Virgil and Shirley Poling, Columbus, Ohio, and Mickie Dickerson, Independence. Wade Shanks, 85, Kearney, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009. Mr. Shanks was born July 25, 1924, in Kearney, the son of Harry and Pauline Wade Shanks. He was a lifelong area resident, a cattleman and farmer for 67 years and a member of the Kearney School Board. Buckie Sharp
Buckley Raymond “Buckie” Sharp, three-week-old infant, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Buckie was born Sept. 5, 2009, in North Kansas City, Mo., the son of Charles William Sharp and Jenelle Jean McCubbin. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Rosalie Wells, Raymond Wells and Vaughn McCubbin. Survivors include his parents, of Excelsior Springs; one sister, Natelley Sharp, of the home; two brothers, Jacobie Sharp, of the home, and Isaiah Simpson, Excelsior Springs; maternal grandparents, Tammy Pope, Excelsior Springs, and Robert Pope, Vibbard; paternal grandparents, Phyllis Sharp and Charles Sharp Jr., both of Excelsior Springs; and great-grandparents, Sandy McCubbin, Lawson, and Pat and David Pope, Pattonsburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Polley Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
Mildred Stapleton
Mildred Stapleton, 93, Orrick, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Mo. Survivors include three sons, Robert “Bob” Stapleton, Creighton, Thomas Stapleton, Republic, and Phillip “Bossy” Stapleton, Philip, S.D.; three daughters, Patricia Lee and Sandra Stapleton, both of Orrick, and Mary Ann Holt, Richmond; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Gowing Chapel in Orrick. Burial in South Point Cemetery, Orrick. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at the chapel.

Lucille P. Stewart, 104, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009. Lucille was born March 23, 1905, in Excelsior Springs, Mo., the daughter of John Allen and Phrata Huett Allen. She married Van Osborn Stewart. He preceded her in death. She was a lifetime resident of Excelsior Springs, the oldest member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Excelsior and a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church in Excelsior. She had been a telephone operator, helped her husband in their restaurant, played piano for silent movies and loved working at Excelsior Springs Hospital and area clinics as a volunteer. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Isom, Excelsior Springs; son and wife, James A. and Johnnie Maidment, Lebanon, Mo.; son and wife, Bill and Linda Stewart, Excelsior Springs; son and wife, Gary and Joyce Stewart, Excelsior Springs; brother and wife, Clifford and Billie Rose Allen, Excelsior Springs; one nephew; two nieces; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Excelsior Springs. An Easter Star service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center Activities Program.
Paul Wagenknecht
Paul R. Wagenknecht, 54, Holt, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at his home. Mr. Wagenknecht was born July 30, 1955, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Burdette and Leota Fishburn Wagenknecht. He retired from the United States Navy as a chief petty officer after serving 24 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kearney. Survivors include his parents, Burdette and Leota Wagenknecht, Liberty; his wife, Connie, and daughter, Miranda, both of Liberty; sons, Scott Wagenknecht, Sacramento, Calif., and Michael Uchrin, Korea; daughter, Jennifer Uchrin, Kansas City; sisters, Beth Curasi, Liberty, Laura Wagenknecht, Kansas City, and Lisa Wagenknecht, Holt; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at First United Methodist Church in Kearney, followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at a later date in Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kan. Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney. Memorial contributions may be made to the Liver Transplant Center at KU Medical Center.
Roye-Alene Watt
Roye-Alene Watt, 62, Excelsior Springs, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo. Ms. Watt was born May 24, 1947, in California, Mo., the daughter of Roy O. and Wanda Alene (Kasserman) Hayes. She moved to North Kansas City at a young age and graduated in 1965 from North Kansas City High School. In 1978 she moved to Excelsior Springs. She began working for Ford in Claycomo in 1977, retiring after 20 years. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Cheryl Ann Hayes. Survivors include three children, Lloyd D. Foster III, Lawson, Alyce Hutchison, Richmond, and Aaron Edwards, Excelsior Springs; and seven grandchildren. It was her request to donate her body to anatomical science. A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA.
Paula Watts
Paula Sue (Macoubrie) Watts, 64, Lawson, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Watts was born Dec. 23, 1944, in Carrollton, the daughter of Richard and Nadine (Harper) Macoubrie. She was married to Gordon Watts on May 19,1963; he survives of the home. She worked as a supervisor for Micro Images for more than 14 years. She was a member of the Mandeville Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, Tamara Sue Banning, Lawson; two sisters, Sharon Owens, Chillicothe, and Peggy Hines, Carrollton; one brother, Jimmy Macoubrie, Carrollton; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Ebenezer Cemetery, south of Bogard. There is no scheduled family visitation, but friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Polley Funeral Home in Lawson.
*Wayne Werle
Oscar “Wayne” Werle, age 75, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away on Wednesday Sept. 23, 2009, at his home. He endured a bad heart and lung cancer. Wayne was born May 9, 1934, to Homer and Opal (Duncan) Werle. They preceded him in death. He married Catherine Cedar in 1953 and to this union his only son, Greg, was born. Greg and his extended families reside in Tennessee. On June 11, 2002, he married the love of his life, Donna Fae (O’Dell) Shea, who survives of the home. Wayne was a builder by trade and built many homes beginning in 1961 and throughout the next 25 to 30 years in the Excelsior Springs, Kearney and Lawson areas. He was a task master and encouraged his workers to do good work and to work hard. Wayne was also known throughout many states for his ability to rebuild and repaint horse drawn farm machinery from total memory having worked with them as a young man. He was thought of highly by his friends in the Jamesport area, who would request his service specifically for well-rebuilt machinery. In 1998 he founded the Crooked River Working Horse and Mule Club. This was a draft horse organization based on education of heritage farming. He was the president of this organization until 2007. Wayne loved music and was an active musician all his life. He played lead guitar in his band “Country Shindig,” which he formed in June 2002 and continued until his health began to fail in June of 2009. He was active with the Shiners in earlier years. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, of the home; his son, Greg, and wife, Kathy; grandson, Josh, and wife, Lori; granddaughter, Deon, and husband, Jim Merkling; his sister, Beverly Murray, and brother-in-law, G R Murray; five great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law; five stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. One brother, Dennis Werle, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Union Baptist Church near Orrick, Mo. Burial will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church.
Roberta Wilhelm
Roberta Wilhelm, 80, Kansas City, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009. Ms. Wilhelm was born May 25, 1929, in Albuquerque, N.M., the daughter of Charles and Orlenn Guffey Sido. She worked as a clerk typist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon; and a great-grreat-grandchild. Survivors include five children, Darrell Wilhelm, Diane Livers, David Wilhelm and Charles Wilhelm, all of Kansas City, and Steve Wilhelm, Corvallis, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kearney. Private family visitation. Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney.

Cheryl L. (Spangler) Williams, 68, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away at her home on September 20, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was born April 21, 1941, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of George Edward and Mildred Berniece (Johnson) Spangler. Cheryl graduated from Northeast High School and worked for Mobil Oil for the next 31 years before retiring in 1992. Cheryl was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She and her husband Bob, as well as their daughter Teresa, own Chestnut Acres and raise Arabian horses. She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves her husband, Robert E. Williams; children, Teresa Thompson, Tami Kelly and Steve Brown; two sisters, Georgia Goodman and Larissa Blackwell; and two grandchildren, Chris Thompson and his wife, Kaitlyn, and Jamie Thompson. Charles Gale Wooten Sr., 59, Richmond, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo. Mr. Wooten was born May 24, 1950, in Macks Creek, the son of Claude and Elva Pearl (Scoonover) Wooten. He was of the Christian faith. Survivors include his wife, Janet Wooten, of the home; two sons, Charles Gale Wooten Jr., Raytown, and Michael Claude Wooten, Richmond; and two brothers, Michael Wooten, Rolla, and Billy Wooten, Richland. Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

June Elaine Yadon, of Excelsior Springs, Mo. (formerly of Queen City, Mo.), has left this world to be with her family in heaven Sept. 16, 2009. June was born April 15, 1927, at a home near Hartford, Mo., to Joseph Freeburn and Mary Maude (McFarland) Veach. June attended Button School House. She met her husband of 63 years, Harold Yadon, at a local dance and they continued to dance every Saturday for the next 17 years. On June 19, 1946, in Queen City, Mo., the couple wed and in time they were blessed with two children, Judy (Yadon) Covington and Michael Yadon of Excelsior Springs, Mo. June and Harold resided in Queen City, Mo., where June was employed by McGraws and later she owned and operated a restaurant in Queen City, Mo. After retiring, June and Harold relocated to Excelsior Springs, Mo., to be close to their family. June was a member of the Queen City Order of the Eastern Star. June was baptized in 2005 and actively attended the Excelsior Springs Church of the Nazarene until her death. June is survived by husband, Harold Yadon; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Page Yadon, at 326 S. Kimball Ave., Excelsior Springs, Mo.; three grandchildren, David Yadon, Judy Yadon and Honesty Yadon; and one great-grandchild, Oakley Lynn Yadon. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and other relatives. June is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Freeburn and Mary Maude Veach; sisters, Fern West, Nellie Richman and Anna Lena Veach; and brothers, Wayne Veach, John K Veach and Guy Veach; and one daughter, Judy (Yadon) Covington and Glenda (Martin) Shaver. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Dooley Funeral Home in Queen City, Mo., with visitation starting at 9 a.m. June will be remember for her loving ways. She welcomed many into her home and made all feel like family.
