Bob Minnick

Robert “Bob” Minnick passed away at his home Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013.

Bob was born the only child of Reyburn Jacob Minnick and Mildred F. (Freeman) Minnick on Oct. 17, 1930, in Hardin, Mo.

Bob joined the Navy in 1951, serving as a seaman aboard the U.S.S. San

Doval for three years and 364 days during the Korean War. Bob worked for

Appliance Moving and Haggard Heavy Hauling until he retired to be a full-time farmer.

Bob married Glenda Lamb on May 24, 1958. They were married for 55 years. To this union there were three sons, Andrew Paul, Reyburn Thomas Christopher and Mark David Jacob Minnick.

His parents preceded Bob in death.

Survivors include wife, Glenda, of the home; sons, Andy and significant other, Karen Rimmer, Chris and wife, Carmen, Mark and wife, Kristen, and extended daughter, Rita Bunn, all of Richmond. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Chance Christianson Minnick, Clinton Jacob Minnick, Ashley Renee (Minnick) Clark, Tyler Matthew Minnick and Cheyane Marie Minnick, all of Richmond.

Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs (Wood Heights), Mo., with visitation preceding at 6 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to Todd’s Chapel Cemetery. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

    Glenda and family you have my sympathy . I don’t know if you remember me? I came to North Carolina in 2006 to be near my Daughter. love L’Berta
