Charles R. “Charlie” O’Donnell, 72, Lexington, Mo., died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at his home.
Charles was born Dec. 19, 1940, in Lexington to Woodrow W. and Minnie M. Neet O’Donnell.
He was a tool setter for Lake City Munitions, from where he retired after 34 years. Before going to work at Lake City he was a police officer with the Lexington Police Department. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hank, Johnny and Leroy; grandson, Shawn O’Donnell; and granddaughter, Adria Giorza.
Survivors include his children, Charles O’Donnell, Lexington, Carmen Stark, Lexington, and Barbara A. O’Donnell, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; his companion, Linda Shockley, Lexington; two sisters, Leona Marth, Higginsville, Mo., and Barbara Evans, Lexington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, with cremation following. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family’s choice.
