Larry Lee Stanfield, age 70, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., formerly of the Salisbury area, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at his home.
Larry was born at Marceline, Mo., on July 11, 1943, to Leighton and Floy (Still) Stanfield. He married Carolyn Faye Scott on October 10, 1964 and she survives him.
Larry had worked at the Ford Motor Company in Claycomo for 30 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason in Kansas City and had lived in the Salisbury area for 25 years and Excelsior Springs for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Stanfield, of the home in Excelsior Springs; two sons, Michael Stanfield, Kansas City, Mo., and Mitchell Stanfield, Excelsior Springs; daughter, Sandra Fairbrass and husband, Neil, Excelsior Springs; one brother, Loren Ray Stanfield, Columbia; two sisters, Linda Fisher, Moberly, and Lila and Larry Watson, Moberly; nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Alicia, Andrea, Justin, Austin, Matthew, Shania, Makayla and Caleb; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roy Laverne Stanfield; and one sister, Cheryl Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline, with the Rev. Brian Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will Austin Stanfield, Matthew Stanfield, Justin Fairbrass, Cody Bauserman, Timothy Scott and Gregory Harrelson.
